Project CARS LMP2 World Championship. Started 10th and clawed my way out of the mid pack in a few laps. Video is the ensuing hunt for the front runners.

The Project Cars AI can be fun when they behave. They are capable of handling multiple cars from 4 different classes trying to cram through the bus stop at Watkins Glen with out issue. Then there are the times when you go to pass someone on the outside and they won’t notice you and squeeze you into the wall. I find that I have to drive differently around the AI in PCars than in Forza, making sure that they notice me and adjust accordingly before making a move..

That’s an excellent bit of driving.

I’m usually very enthusiastic about the way cars feel in Pcars (Xbox one, not the most reliable game in the world) except for one thing that annoys me so much- all the cars feel floaty and feel like they’re sliding along at high to top speed, while in Forza they feel planted. I can't say much for AI, due to the fact that I played a kind of 911 GT3 Cup race as my first thing and it lagged out so hard

There is definitely a lot of work to be done on fender to fender racing. This one was fun because I was out qualified and had to chase down cars that were putting down decent laps. They didn’t have much fight in them when I did execute the passes.

Thanks. Pretty happy with it. I haven’t been racing online in a while so my long term focus was slipping. The PCARS AI has been a good training tool to hone that skill set.

I think that has more to do with the track models than the cars. PCars does not have laser scanned tracks like Forza and the texture of the tracks are a bit lacking in places. For example Watkins Glen where you exit the boot back onto the nascar track comes to a rather sharp point that can really upset a vehicle.
